There is something so special about the love shared between high school sweethearts! Perhaps it’s because your love was formed while wearing braces and still forming who you are.  Photographing high school sweethearts is like watching Boy Meets World in real life.

Robyn & Clay finally became Mr. & Mrs. Zwart at one of the prettiest downtown Venues, The Rutledge in Grand Rapids, Michigan! After 11 years together, Robyns dream of becoming Clays wife finally became a reality… and I melted into a puddle on at least fifty seven different occasions watching it happen. (I’m incredibly biased, but these people are some of my favorite.)

I keep looking back on their photographs and thinking “HOW? Howwwww is it possible for two people to complete each other so perfectly?!” I kept thinking of this quote by Emily Bronte that sums up these two perfectly:

“WHATEVER OUR SOULS ARE MADE OF, HIS AND MINE ARE THE SAME.”

Robyn & Clay - It almost pains me to write this blog, knowing that your day has come and gone so quickly. It still feels like weeks ago that I was communicating with you about your future wedding. Photographing your engagement photos and wedding day, I was quickly reminded why I love my job so much. It has absolutely nothing to do with the extravagance of wedding day, but more so the extravagance of the love shared between joyful, genuine, stupidly-in-love humans. You two are the epitome of what love should be: two people striving to out-give, out-love, and out-serve one another, while keeping God at the center of it all.

I adore you more than words can articulate, so I guess I’ll stop trying to make them do so. You both will forever be some of my favorite humans (I mean it… you’re like REALLY stuck with me).

love you

xoxo.

Chelsie
